Many people skim sales copy. But if you want people to run through your copy and more likely read it, number your points.
People are wired to follow a sequence of numbers. It’s much harder for people to skip, skip, or jump around in reverse order when things are numbered. We’re wired to go through a sequence in order.
Therefore, number the paragraphs in your copy, and be sure to make your call to action the final numbered point in the list so that your reader will be more likely to read all the way through.
