This week, I challenged you to “sell, sell, sell” by filling your schedule with the sales technique that you hate the most. How did you do?
I’ve done this one a couple of times in the past and each time it has been very hard but also very rewarding. Years ago, I used to hate telephone sales (even though they were to warm leads) and so I had my own personal challenge to see how many phone calls I could make. Result? I have no trouble selling on the phone today. Then I did the same thing with cold calls. And even with door-to-door sales. Each time I overcame the most difficult aspect of selling by doing as much as I could in a very short time.
It doesn’t mean that I definitely do each of those sales techniques now, but it does mean that I have the experience and confidence I need if I do find that I need to sell in that way.
