What is a content channel?

In a previous post I talked about content as the pieces of published material produced by a source (like a business) for an audience.

Content channels are the places – the repositories, locations, outposts – that a business can place its content to reach its audience.

Content channels can include any of the following (and more that I haven’t written here!)

  • Blogs
  • Social media
  • Article directories
  • Books
  • Magazines
  • Newspapers
  • Press releases
  • Reports and whitepapers
  • Ebooks
