  • Copywriting is, as a famous copywriter once said, “sales in print”. That same copywriter called each sales letter a salesperson who pitches to the client on your behalf. Copywriting is the use of words (and potentially other media) to sell.

As a copywriter, my job is to persuade my readers to take action—perhaps subscribing to a newsletter, setting up an appointment, calling a salesperson, or buying a product or service (just to name a few).
