Thanks, Heather. You're right that it is hard for the client to see and it sometimes takes our best sales effort to make sure that they do understand (and don't publicly badmouth us). It's like a visit to the dentist. No one like it and it's not pleasant at the time but it's for the best.

The best part of your post here is that it's sometimes best for the client as well. That's sometimes hard to get the client to see, but it's necessary nonetheless.

You're right, Lance. It's not a matter of clients being right or wrong. There's a spectrum and they can also have the right goals but the wrong strategies and execution. Which is why professionals like you and I need to help them (or move on to someone that wants to be helped).

Thanks for commenting.

I totally agree with clients being not always right. Sometimes, you have to point them to the right direction so they can see the profitable future you are visualizing for them. It's easier said than done though. But it's doable.

Yikes! Thanks for the warning, Joe. Businesses definitely need to be clearer about what charges consumers incur.

Thank you for your blog. I bit on that stupid ad, and it doesn't work. Worst of all, Celebrity White sneaked in a membership fee of $149.95 charged to my debit card, and when I called to challenge it, they said all they could do is cancel my membership, and they are keeping the $149.95 !! We need to get this message out there.
